Land Use Patterns
The Electoral Distribution Commissioners must now give due consideration to land use patterns as one of the primary criteria. Mapping of land use in Western Australia was undertaken as part of the National Land and Water Resources Audit. Forest Areas
The South West Region will now be required to include coastal and forest areas in the south-west of the State. A map supplied by the Department of Environment and Conservation, which shows the South West Region defined in the 2003 Electoral Distribution and its associated forest areas, is provided below. Land Areas
